The Band Perry claimed the best new artist award at Sunday night's country music awards, moments after performing its hit song "If I Die Young."
The Band Perry received their gold plaque for their self-titled debut album in Las Vegas ahead of the 46th ACM Awards. The family trio also performed at the 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards show, alongside some of the biggest names in country music, including Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Before the show, Kimberly said she was looking forward to one of the cross-genre pairings planned for the night: R&B songstress Rihanna‘s team-up with Sugarland voice Jennifer Nettles.
