Regan, 53, who played Terry Sullivan in the hit Liverpool-filmed soap, was one of three people arrested earlier in the murder investigation. Post-mortem tests found he died from a single gunshot wound to the head. He is believed to be a victim of a targeted attack. He was later released on police bail, along with a 48-year-old woman.
