A panel of potential jurors from Tampa began the process of being selected for the first-degree murder trial of Casey Anthony. The location of the jury selection was not announced until early this morning because of unprecedented media interest in the trial of the mom accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
It all began with a phone call to police in July 2008 from the grandmother of 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony, who reported the toddler missing and said her daughter’s car smelled like a "dead body.”
She sat in front of potential jurors with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. Her face was thin and drawn. Her eyes looked tired and hollow. She wore no make-up. She was dressed in a simple seafoam green sweater and gray skirt.
