Derek Jeter Reaches 3000 Hits | History Made

Derek Jeter has become the 28th player in baseball game who has reached 3,000 hits, just on this Saturday, hitting a home run in the third inning playing at Yankee Stadium. Derek Jeter collected hits number 2,999 and 3,000 today against the Tampa Bay Rays in New York. It was truly a historic day as Jeter became the first Yankee to achieve the feat and the 28th player in baseball history. In doing so, Jeter became the first player in the Yankees’ storied history to reach the sacred number. He has become the 28th player in Major League Baseball history to get 3,000 hits, and the first to reach the milestone as a New York Yankee.
