Earthquake in NYC, 5.9 magnitude

A large earth tremor produced by a 5.9 earthquake just shook the New York (NY) metro area and sorrounding areas, and all New York City inhabitants quickly started updating all their social networking websites with tweeter updates and all with the unheard of cry of "Earthquake". The largest natural quake in Colorado in more than 100 years blew Monday night in the state’s southeast corner, but there had been no reports of damage or injuries, still. A powerful earthquake rocked the Mid-Atlantic region Tuesday afternoon, hitting areas from North Carolina to as far as away Ottawa, Canada. It was measured a preliminary 5.9 and lasted up to 45 seconds, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) has warned of aftershocks also. Here is more information. Its epicenter was reported about 4 miles southwest of Mineral, Va., near Richmond, Va. and about 80 miles south of Washington, D.C.
