The television show The Voice certainly appeals to
younger viewers, as set by the folks behind The Voice and they clearly do know
what they're doing producing the show. As will be seen in tonight's two-hour
launch of the "knockout rounds" in The Voice the success of this
television series is as a game show, and not as a talent show, The Voice does
not merely find and launch talent.
Everything is focused on the game — the
judges choosing the competitors, the chosen singers fighting to out-shout each
other — it is nothing like the American Idol this way, because contestants
never get a weekly chance to shape a song, register with the audience, and grow
as entertainers.
